About the Coordinator

All About Me

Dear Lake Balboa College Preparatory Magnet K-12 Families,

My name is Patricia (Patty) Salazar and I am your wonderful Targeted Student population (TSP), Coordinator.  My job involves overseeing various programs such as State Testing, EL & Title 1 Programs, Budget, Technolgy, and Online Learning.  Most importantly my job is to assist all students and parents learn how to best navigate our school system and find success.  I am always available to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

On a personal note, I am the mother of a grown-up real live boy, two furry babies, a snake, and a tarantula.  I have been an educator for LAUSD for 24 years and I am also a former LAUSD student (K-12).  I am a proud San Fernando High School Tiger (ROAR).  I received my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from California State University Northridge (CSUN).  I am currently a doctoral candidate (2nd year) at the University of Southern California (USC). Fight On!  My long term goal is to be a superintendent in a public school.  I would also love to one day be a professor at a university.
